What the Quick-Mount system is (and how it works)
Quick-Mount is a two-part interface: a barrel adapter that threads onto your rifle, and a coupler that’s permanently fitted in the silencer. Once the adapter is on the barrel, the silencer locks with a short 90° twist.
Please see this page for the Quick-Mount installation guide.
Key features:
- Safe-Pin: a mechanical guide that ensures the silencer indexes correctly and protects threads from cross-start damage.
- Conical shoulder: wedges the mount under torque so it won’t work loose, and supports consistent accuracy.
- Allen/Unbrako attachment: the adapter itself is tightened with a standard 10 mm Allen key—simple, robust.
Why hunters and shooters love it: real-world advantages
1) Fast, positive mounting—especially in bad weather
Only a quarter-turn is needed. The conical shoulder gives a “hard stop” feel so you know it’s seated.
2) You can trust it - 100 percent
The Svemko Quick-Mount adapter is made from hardened steel and engineered in such a way that it doesn't wear down. Unlike other quick detach systems and adapters, the materials and design enables the adapter to work flawlessly each time.
3) Repeatable precision
The cone-to-cone interface and positive index help preserve zero when you remove and refit the can—critical if you transport your rifle or swap between rifles during a season.
4) One silencer. Multiple rifles.
Adapters are offered in the common European and US thread patterns (M13x1 to M18x1, plus 1/2-20, 1/2-28, 5/8-24), so you can kit out multiple barrels and move the same Svemko silencer—or the Velocity muzzle brake—between them.
5) Simple install
Clean the muzzle threads, mount the adapter on until it shoulders, and tight it down with a 10 mm Allen key. Use Loctite (222 or 243). If the adapter ever gets stuck inside the silencer, the same 10 mm allen key can be used to release it back out.
6) Easy storing of your rifle
Every silencer should always be removed after use due to barrel corrosion. Removing the silencer when storing your rifle in the gun cabinet has never been easier.
7) Proven technology
Since its introduction we’ve made and sold thousands of Quick-Mount adapters. The majority of our customers choose the Quick-Mount - a testament to its durability, flexibility and value for our customers.
Compatibility notes (important before you buy)
- QM is a dedicated interface. It can’t be used on silencers delivered with standard direct threads; you choose the Quick-Mount version at purchase.
- Threaded section length: the adapter cannot be mounted on barrels with a threaded portion longer than 17 mm. If yours exceeds that, have a gunsmith shorten/face the threaded section or choose standard threads.
- Adapter bought separately: The QM adapter is bought separately from the Quick-Mount-configured silencer. You can also buy additional adapters if you want to use one silencer for multiple rifles.
Typical FAQ’s regarding QM
- Will it loosen after shooting a longer session at the range? The conical shoulder is designed to resist loosening while preserving precision—just hand-check periodically like any muzzle device.
- Can I reuse my direct-thread Svemko can with QM? No; QM must be specified on the silencer model.
- What if my adapter sticks inside the silencer? Use a 10 mm Allen key to remove it; reinstall on the barrel and re-torque.
- How much is an extra adapter? For updated prices, please contact your local dealer or distributor - or contact us at support@svemko.com.
Bottom line
The Svemko Quick-Mount adapter earns its place on a hunting rifle because it pairs speed and simplicity with mechanical security and repeatability. If you have multiple rifles, want a quicker way to detach/attach your silencer, or just want a mounting system you can trust, Svemko Quick Mount is the way to go.
