We, Svemko AS, business registration no. 915312888, Fjellskålnesvegen 135, 5282 Lonevåg, Norway (collectively “Svemko”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), are committed to being transparent about how we handle personal data when you interact with us. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain how Svemko processes information about you and to describe the measures we take to protect your privacy.
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit our websites www.svemko.com and www.svemko-defence.com (the “Sites”), make a purchase from us, create an account or register your Svemko product, contact our customer service team, engage with us on social media, apply for a position, sign up to our newsletter, apply to become a Svemko Ambassador, or otherwise interact with us.

1. Roles
Svemko AS is the data controller of the personal data we process about our customers, the visitors to our Sites, as well as job applicants. This means that we are responsible to ensure that your personal data is processed in a lawful manner and protected in accordance with the Norwegian Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). The responsibility includes ensuring that the processing is necessary to fulfil explicitly stated and relevant purposes.
2. Which personal data do we process and for what purposes?
2.1 Visits to our Sites
We (and our service providers) use tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect the following information about you:
- IP address (which is an identification on your machine),
- Hardware model, brand and name
- Unique device identifiers,
- Browser type and version,
- Mobile network,
- Operating system and version
- Screen resolution
- Approximate location (city)
- Activity on the Sites, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, site search, video engagement and file downloads
- Which website you visited before navigating to our Sites.
Cookies
When visiting our Sites, a cookie that is used to recognize your computer or mobile phone is placed in your hard drive or in device memory. A cookie is a small text file that many websites use to recognize your PC, mobile or tablet from time to time. A cookie is a passive file and will not be able to spread viruses or other harmful programs.
The cookies provide us with information about your activity on our Site. We use this information to improve our Site and your experience, see which areas and features of our Site are popular, and count visits.
Web Beacons
Web beacons (also known as “pixel tags” or “clear GIFs”) are electronic images that we use on our Sites and in our emails. The Web Beacons help deliver cookies, and provide us with information like number of visits, and understand usage and campaign effectiveness. We process these data based on our legitimate interest (GDPR. art. 6 (1) f) to ensure smooth connection to the website, comfortable use of our website, to evaluate system security and stability and also for further administrative purposes. This information is stored for a maximum of two years, but most of the information is stored shorter than this. In our cookie statement you will find the specific deletion deadlines.
We also use cookies to provide marketing and analytics.

2.2 Account / Register Product - Extended Warranty
When you register an account at www.svemko.com or, the account allows you to register your products (silencers & modules, keep track of your serial numbers, date of purchase, point of purchase and extend your warranty. Read more about the extended Svemko Warranty here.
In order to provide these services to you, we need to process your personal data. We may collect the following personal data: Your first name and surname, phone number, email address, postal address, or any other personal data you choose to share with us.
You may update and correct certain account information at any time by logging into your account. If you wish to delete your account, please email us at support@svemko.com, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for our legitimate business purposes.
2.3 Social Media
We have a Facebook fan page, an account on Instagram, and a Linkedin page.
Social media gives us access to see posts, likes, followers, comments and messages, as well as aggregated information about visits and activity on our pages, boards and customized ads. Our processing is based on our legitimate interest in reaching out to customers and potential customers (GDPR. Art. 6 (1) f).
The social media platforms are the data controllers for the information you leave there. We do not store this information ourselves, but we have access to it as long as we have our social media page. You can delete your information at any time, e.g. by removing content or reactions you have published. Please note that your data will not be deleted simply by unfollowing our site.
Facebook and Instagram process personal data in the United States and other countries listed in their privacy policies. You can get more information about how Facebook and Instagram process personal data in their respective privacy statements. We encourage you to read these. The basis for transfer is based on EUs standard contractual clauses.
2.4 Analytics and statistics
If you consent to this, we use Google Analytics to obtain information about which pages are most visited, the previous website visited, at what times the pages are visited, etc. to better understand how our users use the website, to maintain your user session on our website, for statistics, to study traffic, usage patterns and trends on the website. As far as possible, we try to do this with anonymous data, without being able to link the information specifically to you.

2.5 Newsletter
We send newsletters by e-mail. The newsletters contain different types of information. It is voluntary to sign up to receive newsletters, and you will only receive this if you have consented (GDPR. Art. 6 (1) a). It is easy to unsubscribe from the newsletter, either by contacting us or by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all newsletters from us.
When sending newsletters, we can measure the opening rate of the newsletter and create aggregated statistics and analyses to improve our newsletters. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in having relevant newsletters (GDPR art. 6 (1) f)).

We treat pseudonymous identifiers (e.g., cookie IDs) as personal data where required by law.
2.6 Job applicants
We process personal data we have received from the job applicant to implement measures at the data subject's request prior to entering a contract (GDPR. art. 6 (1) b), or based on the job applicant's consent, cf. GDPR. art. 6 (1) a). Sensitive personal data processed in this regard is necessary for us to fulfil our obligations as a potential employer (GDPR. art 9 (2) b).
Any aptitude and personality tests, as well as online searches, are based on our legitimate interest in finding the right candidate, GDPR. art. 6 (1) f). We will only contact the applicant's references if we have obtained consent to this (GDPR art. 6 (1) a).
2.7 Surveys
If you have bought one of our products, attended one of our events or follow us on social media, we may ask you to answer a survey or review a product or event. When you answer a survey, we collect some personal data, including name, surname, social media username, email address, phone number, country of residence, home address. We use this personal data to enter competitions and sweepstakes, and register for events. It is voluntary to answer the surveys and leave reviews, and the processing is only done if we have your consent (GDPR art. 6 (1) a).
2.8 Contests, promotions and sweepstakes
Sometimes we arrange contests, promotions and sweepstakes. To carry out the competition, promotions and sweepstakes, we need your contact information. It is voluntary to enter the contests, promotions and sweepstakes, and we only process your information if we have your consent (GDPR art. 6 (1) a).
3. Who do we share your personal information with?
Our employees have access to your personal data as far as it is necessary for the described purposes and the work of the employees concerned. They act in accordance with our instructions and are bound to confidentiality and secrecy when handling your personal data.
We may also share your personal data with our distributors and dealers in order to handle warranty claims or repairs.
We may also transfer your personal data to other legal entities within Svemko for the purpose of internal group administration and for the various processing purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This means that your personal data can also be processed and combined with personal data originating from another Svemko legal entity for the respective purposes.
We may also disclose your personal data to third party service providers who perform certain business operations on our behalf („processors“), in particular:
- IT services, for example data storage, cloud services, data analytics etc.;
- Consulting services, for example tax consultants, lawyers, management consultants, recruitment etc.;
- Logistics to deliver goods;
- Administrative services, for example real estate management; business information and debt collection.
There are other cases where we may disclose your personal data, for instance:
We may disclose your personal data to third parties (for example authorities) if this is required by law. We also reserve the right to process your personal data in order to comply with a court order or to assert or defend legal claims or if we consider it necessary for other legal reasons.
We may disclose your personal data to third parties (for example acquirer) if this is necessary for a corporate transaction.
4. Data Retention
We store personal data associated with your account for as long as your account remains active. We store personal data for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which we originally collected it and for other legitimate business purposes, including to meet our legal, regulatory, or other compliance obligations.
5. Data Subject Requests
Subject to certain limitations, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to receive your data in a portable format, the right to ask that your personal data be corrected or erased, the right to withdraw a consent, and the right to object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing. 6. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit/at rest, access controls, least‑privilege, monitoring, regular backups, and staff training. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password and enable multi‑factor authentication where available.

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (e.g., email or banner). Material changes will take effect [30] days after posting unless required sooner by law.
9. Delete registered personal data
Canceling newsletter subscription: Carried out via a link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Cancel and delete your Svemko user account: Carried out when logged into your Svemko user account via the page; "My Account". Note that both user accounts and any registered product data will be inaccessible to you.
Delete registered silencers or modules: Carried out by submitting a request via contacting Svemko at support@svemko.com. Please note that registered product data cannot be retrieved after deletion.
